Background

PA TV Metadata has enjoyed a long and illustrious history with leading broadcaster and telecommunications company Sky. We were the first independent supplier of EPG data to the Sky TV platform and the services we deliver have expanded and deepened over more than two decades to support Sky’s evolution and innovations.

 

Sky is the largest TV platform in the UK, and one that continues to grow with new services and features. Delivering accurate, up-to-the-minute data to meet the platform’s rigorous requirements is crucial to the content discovery experience and PA TV Metadata is the trusted supplier of more than 200 channels across the Sky UK EPG.

Evolving our service with the expansion of Sky

Our agile and knowledgeable team provides EPG data to drive an abundance of features and functionality including expertly crafted synopses to meet the platform’s strict specifications. Robust technical data encompasses IDs that drive reminders, recordings and series linking functionality as well as conditional access for restricted services and pay per view content, plus Catch-up and StartOver rights.

 

With the recent expansion of Sky platform functionality with the Sky Glass product, our team quickly and successfully integrated with dozens of broadcasters, all using different systems to deliver their own rights data, to manage the flow of Catch-up and StartOver information into Pawa and onto the Sky platform. These new dynamic workflows are seamlessly integrated with existing robust processes to ensure EPGs are always up to date, accurate and engaging.
