The Brief

One of our clients who specialise particularly in food and drink PR approached us for both a photo and video service. The brief received was to shoot British pop star Gabrielle performing an impromptu set in front of commuters at Waterloo Station in collaboration with Actimel. The client wanted a series of pictures to go out on the PA wire and a video edit to go out on the video wire

The Solution

We scheduled a series of calls in the lead-up to the shoot day with the client. From a photographic perspective, we wanted to make sure the shot list was clear. We made sure that the shots for editorial purposes were not going to be overly branded and would include the ‘what, where, why, and when’ in each picture. We also went through the shot list for the client’s internal use which would include more branding and made sure that any photographic requirements from Gabrielle’s team were made clear, such as specific angles, etc. We suggested getting a portrait of Gabrielle away from the stage, which had branding, and having the Waterloo Station clock in the background to show where she was.

The Results

7 strong, editorial pictures were sent out on the PA wire by 10:30 am. We were pleased to see that they were picked up by several online news websites such as the Daily Mail, Retail Times, London Post, and London World. A PA video edit was also sent out and picked up by various media outlets.
