Location, Location, Location

Many of our activities involve London as a location. We often recommend this, as it being the nation’s capital, can editorially keep the story in the national interest. Other cities in the UK could be less defined and have less recognisable landmarks. An overused, but very good, location in London for example would be Potters Fields Park. This place offers spectacular vistas of Tower Bridge in the background and is a perennial favourite amongst our clients.

Photo of the Week!

Today’s Photo of the Week has been chosen by Marketing and Team Assistant Eliza. It’s from the unveiling of Derren Brown’s Ghost Train, which will open at Thorpe Park in Spring. Eliza picked this image as she likes the angle the picture is taken from; that it’s both colourful and dark at the same time and has lots of detail to tell the story in just one frame. She is also a big fan of Derren and can’t wait to try out the attraction when it opens.

Photo of the Week!

We’ve chosen this image from the launch of Winter Lights 2016 as our Picture of the Week as it         demonstrates the appeal and credibility that having a person involved in your photo stunt can bring. With the young boy interacting with the installation the viewer is immediately presented with an idea of scale. It’s also great that the child’s natural and honest reaction is to recreate the positioning of the installation by peering through the face and of course the fact that the light display is shot at night time to show it’s vibrancy.

Christmas newsroom lull? Here’s our tips on great Christmas stories…

Christmas can often be fairly quiet in the country’s newsrooms and many media outlets are left with a skeleton of staff whose main resources are taken up by breaking news. This presents the problem of empty space in news bulletins and papers. For this reason, over the next few days and weeks journalists will be on the lookout for stories they can film or write up and keep to their ‘Christmas Box’ to run at any point throughout the festive period.
