Photo of the Week!

By Craig Gunn 22/01/2016

Check out our photo of the week!

Client: Thorpe Park

Agency: Taylor Herring

Project: Derren Brown Ghost Train

Why do we like it?

Today’s Photo of the Week has been chosen by Marketing and Team Assistant Eliza. It’s from the unveiling of Derren Brown’s Ghost Train, which will open at Thorpe Park in Spring. Eliza picked this image as she likes the angle the picture is taken from; that it’s both colourful and dark at the same time and has lots of detail to tell the story in just one frame. She is also a big fan of Derren and can’t wait to try out the attraction when it opens.

From a photography point of view we like this image, as the composition gives us a hint to Derren’s secret project. With plans on walls and drawings on the table, it’s these details that engage us. The photographer has chosen to use some depth of field with detail in the foreground, making Derren the vanishing point. The splashes of colour from the red monkey, cable on wall and brain gives a contrast to the industrial feel.
