Richard, Head of Sport & Racing Data

By Christopher Henry-Reeve 18/11/2016

I hold responsibility for managing growth within Data Services for Sport & Racing. My role involves me being adaptable, identifying and defining strategies and key decision making.

A typical day will involve me being updated by project teams with the latest business developments, giving direction on new products & services and managing stakeholders expectations. I represent PA regularly at meetings with key accounts, maintaining the company’s excellent relationships in both industries.

I started my Press Association career whilst at college. I worked as a casual operator, processing in-play data for EPL matches. Once I graduated, I took up a permanent role in 2001. From there I worked hard and moved into a new position every few years, gaining experience from these opportunities.

Having an interest in a wide range of sports, I enjoy the challenges, diversity & creativity which working at Press Association affords.

I have been lucky enough to travel the globe during the course of my career here, covering two Olympic Games, a Commonwealth Games and numerous other events.

I have always found it rewarding to work for the Press Association; if you are enthusiastic about what you do, prepared to work hard and put yourself forward, there are a large number of opportunities for personal development.
