Amanda, Head of Management Accounts

I have a very varied role which changes greatly from month to month – especially at month-end when I am busy preparing Accounts or when I work closely with regional directors, providing accurate financial information which enables them to grow the business. At other times of the year I am busy forecasting and budgeting so we can plan for future growth within the group.

I first started working for the PA Group 12 years ago as a casual football data processor, and after 2 years, I took up a permanent role as a purchase ledger clerk within the Finance department. I progressed to working in Credit Control and Sales Ledger and the Company also supported me in my studies for the AAT qualification. Once I was AAT-qualified I took up a role in the Management Accounts team and since then I have never looked back! I have worked across various sectors at PA, and through experience, hard work and the Company’s support, I have been able to complete my CIMA qualification, which without doubt has helped me achieve promotion into my current position.

Things are always changing and growing within the Company, which makes it exciting to work for and which means my role also broadens with it. In addition, I work with a fantastic team of people who help make coming to work even more enjoyable.
