Alton Towers: Opening of Nemesis Reborn

The Brief

Alton Towers, our client, wanted us to film the opening day of Nemesis Reborn. Nemesis was closed for 18 months as it had an extensive transformation, and we were there to capture and convey why Nemesis is so cherished by the thrill seekers & why it is so meaningful for them. We also created an edit to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nemesis. Our task was to make sure we filmed exciting vox pops of the fans, and to interview the creators to expand on the journey of Nemesis and to discuss the new theming & features of the ride. The opening day video was uploaded to the wire to spread awareness of the ride’s opening.

The Solution

Our dedicated crew conducted quick voxpops of the fans to capture their excitement before and after the ride. We also had short interviews with the creators, and asked them relevant interview questions that would work well for both edits. On top of this, we filmed a range of b-roll of the ride to include in both videos. We edited on the same day, and provided a short edit, B-roll, A-roll & PA edit that was all approved by mid afternoon.

The Results

The video gained widespread coverage on various mainstream consumer websites, indicating significant viewership and awareness of the rides opening.  This story gained multiple pieces of coverage including articles on Yahoo News UK & The Independent.
