The Brief
With our vast experience of creating content each year around the launch and programme of events for the UK’s City of Culture, our client came to us once again to commission us to create a portfolio of work for Lewisham – the London Borough of Culture 2022. We were briefed to capture a host of events and activities on the day of announcement and on ‘day 1’ of the year-long programme, which included a visit to the borough by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
The Solution
We captured a variety of activities, including schoolchildren performing dance routines, a performance by local spoken-word poet, Inua Ellams and of course, the Mayor enjoying his visit. They wanted to ensure the diversity of the borough was conveyed in the pictures and we achieved this with a variety of different angles, POV’s and shots, which we then distributed far and wide to UK media
The Results
Using our experience, expertise and understanding of our client’s needs we were able to deliver over and above what they were looking for and as a result achieved blanket media coverage in the UK in both print and online.
