Opinion poll tracker

The PA news agency compiles an opinion poll tracker that shows a rolling seven-day average of the poll ratings for five political parties: the Conservatives, Labour, the Liberal Democrats, Reform and the Greens.

The averages are based on the headline percentages of voting intention, which pollsters calculate by excluding people who answered “don’t know” or who said they did not intend to vote.

Polls are included in the daily averages if the date on which fieldwork was completed falls within the previous seven days.

Most polls cover only Great Britain, although some cover the whole of the UK, but people surveyed do not get the option to choose parties that stand only in Northern Ireland.

Polls published by the following organisations are included in the calculations: BMG, Deltapoll, Find Out Now, Ipsos, JL Partners, More in Common, Opinium, People Polling, Redfield & Wilton, Savanta, Survation, Techne, We Think, Whitestone and YouGov.

All of these organisations are publishing regular opinion polls during the election campaign and all are members of the British Polling Council.

Members of the British Polling Council agree to the same rules on transparency, but membership should not be seen as a guarantee of quality.

All data included in the poll averages is in the public domain.
